Understanding Progressed Synastry Matrices

Progressed synastry matrices are combined natal and progressed charts which include the personal planetary positions for Sun, Venus and Mars (Moon and Mercury positions are also included but seldom referred to)

.In this example Elizabeth Taylor's natal planet positions are in Row E, while her progressed planets for 1962 are in Row C. Richard Burton's natal planet positions are in Row B and his progressed planets for 1962 in Row D. Taylor's progressed Venus is colored red and is in cell C6.

Burton's progressed Mars is colored red and is in cell D7.The two planets coloured Red are in almost exact opposition. This opposition will be exact in 1965 and will separate in 1972. The opposition of Venus and Mars across two progressed charts is a significant connection in many relationships. It is the primary relationship indicator in this relationship.
